United ends irritating, expensive change, standby fees for good"

United Airlines could be ushering in a new era of ticket pricing policies with its announcement on Sunday that it is getting rid of change fees on domestic trips.

And not just for the next month or two – but for good.

The airline said it is “permanently getting rid of change fees on all standard Economy and Premium cabin tickets for travel within the U.S., effective immediately.”

A commercial fisherman operating from Lowestoft in Suffolk, England, Crisp joined the Royal Navy in 1915. He was killed in the North Sea defending his armed naval vessel, His Majesty's Smack Nelson, against an attack from a German submarine.
