food web , n : (ecology) A diagram showing the organisms that eat other organisms in a particular ecosystem, predators being higher in the web than their prey. Today is the International Day for Biological Diversity (also known as World Biodiversity Day), which is recognized by the United Nations for the promotion of biodiversity issues.
