State Fish and Wildlife officials helped Alameda County law enforcement officers capture a mountain lion that made its way into the central part of Pleasanton on Monday. The animal was tranquilized and removed from an area near Kaiser Permanente’s psychiatry offices at 3825 Hopyard Road, near W. Las Positas Blvd. Pleasanton police responded to the area after receiving a report of a cougar sighting. They cordoned off the area as they waited for Fish and Wildlife officials to arrive. It took four shots from a tranquilizer gun to stop the big cat from moving.
