Following the logic of the "tiny house" trend – i.e., why pay for more space than you absolutely need – a couple of major hotel chains are adopting the "tiny room" concept that has previously been limited to small specialty operators like Yotel, New York's Pod and Marriott Moxy Hotels. Both Hilton and the U.K.'s big Premier Inns chain are testing the waters of small spaces.
