It’s a shocking thought considering Gorkys Hernandez wasn’t guaranteed an Opening Day roster spot, but manager Bruce Bochy said the center fielder should be in the All-Star conversation. “I think he’s going to be considered this year,” Bochy said Thursday. “You look at the home runs, he’s in double figures now. And the way he’s been playing, you never know.” Bochy suggested the Dodgers’ Dave Roberts, who will manage the National League All-Stars, will be impressed with Hernandez’s numbers when it’s time to pick the reserves. “You look at the outfield,” Bochy said, “there’s not a lot of guys having huge years out there, so he’s going to get considered.
