Coast Guard looks for shipwreck after debris found near Pacifica"

The U.S. Coast Guard was searching the ocean near Pacifica on Wednesday evening after crews spotted floating debris that looked to be from a shipwreck. Coast Guard officials said they had no reports of missing or overdue vessels, or of any boating accidents in the area. Among the items in the water were clothing and life jackets, plus pieces of a wooden boat. At least two pieces had part of what looked like the boat’s name written on them: “barca” and “rio.” Anyone with information about the search or the boat that may have been involved should call the Coast Guard at 510-399-3547.
